On The Bend Sugar Shack

Pat Trudel loves stories and storytelling. She encouraged her seven children to develop their reading and creative skills. She started working at Upper Canada Village as a costumed interpreter to help her son realize his dream of becomeing a professional ballet dancer. He eventually joined the Austrian Contemporary Dance Company in Graz.

Pat is an avid family history researcher and in retirement, she wrote a children’s book about some antics that her brother and sister got into in 1952. Thus began, her journey into writing and illustrating stories for children. She continues her other creative talents through many mediums especially sewing and quilting.
